12 Years a Slave won for Best Picture and Gravity blasted off to Oscar success taking home seven awards including Best Director for Alfonso Cuaron. Dallas Buyers Club performed well in the marquee acting categories, while American Hustle, which earned 10 nominations, was shut out.
The show featured a number of memorable moments from an ongoing pizza gag to host Ellen DeGeneres setting a Twitter record for the most retweeted tweet of all time with her A-list ensemble selfie (for our own special red-carpet reporter Marcus Johns' fun selfies with celebs preshow, watch here).
